Advanced technologies achieve exceptional image quality
The Lumix DMC-GF1 gives you superior image quality with a high-speed readout for HD movie recording. The Dust Reduction System helps maintain this image quality by placing a Supersonic Wave Filter in front of the sensorto deflect even the smallest particles. An image processing LSI Venus Engine HD, incorporating two CPUs, not only boosts image processing speed, but also helps achieve exceptional noise reduction. In addition, it allows long-time movie recording in AVCHD Lite while maintaining low power consumption.
Make professional-looking movies, then watch them on your VIErA TV
The Lumix DMC-GF1 can record an HD movie of 720P in AVCHD Lite with the high sound quality of Dolby Digital Creator. Motion JPEG format is also available (1,280 x 720 pixels): just press the Movie Recording button to start shooting.
In Motion Picture P Mode, the aperture can be adjusted easily and the iA Mode can be activated in movie recording. Then you just connect the Lumix DMC-GF1 to a Panasonic VIErA via an optional mini HDMI cable, and you can use the TV's remote control unit to play back your movies.
Now it’s easy and fun to shoot like a pro
The 3.0-inch 460,000-dot LCD gives you a full-time LIVE VIEW of what you're shooting, with 100% field of view . In addition, versatile creative functions are possible with the Lumix DMC-GF. My Colour Mode makes it easy to customise colour effects and the Peripheral Defocus Mode automatically adjusts to match the AF area while subtly defocusing to emphasise the subject. The iA Mode, featuring Face Recognition, serves as a combination of functions that makes it easy for anyone to take beautiful photos.
Clear, blur-free images even in low light
The DMC-GF1 is available in two standard kits-
1) The bright F1.7/20mm (35mm camera equivalent: 40mm) fixed focus lens, based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard, produces bright photos with a dramatic soft focus even in dimly lit locations. Its compact, easy-to-carry size is also ideal for capturing everyday scenes and snapshots.
2) The multi coated 14-45mm F3.5-5.6 (35mm camera equivalent: 28mm-90mm) zoom lens , based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard, produces sharp photos with minimised ghosts and flare. This lens also incorporates Panasonic’s World renowned MEGA OIS (Optical Image Stabiliser) to correct for any handshake that might occur when taking photos or movies.
