Last year’s entries were amongst the best the judges have seen, and we hope to raise the bar that little bit higher for this year.
We received entries from 75 schools in 2008. The films were judged by a panel including Panasonic Managing Director Steve Rust and industry experts Paul Fishlock, Camille Hardman, Jane St. Vincent Welch, Jack McCoy, and KWN ambassador Toni Pearen who critiqued the films, looking at the quality of script writing, sound, videography, special effects and editing.
“Winning this award is a wonderful achievement and very well deserved. It is great to see the students recognised for all their hard work and dedication. All the students at Mooloolaba State School involved in the KWN program displayed a great deal of creativity and a real flair for film-making. I am really proud of all their efforts.”
Danette Flick, Teacher at Mooloolaba State School
