Use Only Genuine Panasonic Batteries

Panasonic recommends the use of Genuine Panasonic Branded Batteries (Rechargeable and Disposable).

It has been found that counterfeit battery packs which look very similar to genuine product may be available to purchase in Australian and other markets. Panasonic genuine battery packs should only be used in all Panasonic supplied products in accordance with the user/operators manual specifications.

Some of these counterfeit battery packs are not adequately protected with internal protection to meet the requirements of appropriate safety standards. There is a possibility that these battery packs may lead to a fire or they may explode while in use.

Panasonic will not be liable for and will not accept any claim for loss, damage or failure whatsoever occurring as a result of or during the use of:

(i) battery packs which are not genuinely manufactured by Panasonic and sold by Panasonic's  auhorised resellers

(ii) incorrect, inappropriate us or mistreatment of battery packs, and

(iii) battery packs which are not maintained in accordance with the specifications and recommendations contained in the user/operations manual.

Please be aware that counterfeit battery packs may be sold which may in many ways appear to be similar to Panasonic product.  In order to avoid buying battery packs which are not manufactured by Panasonic, the buyer should:

(i) refer to the relevant product user/operation manual and only purchase the recommended Panasonic battery pack at all times;

(ii) make relevant enquiries of the seller to ensure that they are an authorised reseller of Panasonic battery products; and

(iii) always be suspicious of products which do not bear the relevant part number, markings and relevant electrical approvals etc which would otherwise indicate that the battery pack is not an approved Panasonic product.

To ensure that products are used safely we would recommend that only a Genuine Panasonic Battery Pack is used at all times.
